DUNKIRK at the Festival Drayton Centre

With the odds thoroughly stacked against them, the Allied forces must pull off a daring escape from the beaches of Dunkirk, before Nazi troops close in.

The story of Dunkirk is one that defines World War 2, and is about to be told to a brand new generation on the big screen. Depicting the true story of the plight of the Allied soldiers midway through the Second World War against the Axis powers, Dunkirk is not a tale of a hard-fought battle victory, but of a miraculous evacuation.

Against the odds, the Allies find themselves stuck on a war-torn beach and harbour in France, after a failed invasion on the enemy. Doomed as Nazi forces close in, Belgian, Canadian, French, and British troops are surely facing their final moments. However, in the 11th hour, help finally comes to hand and shines a light of hope where there previously was none.
