FLYING THE NEST (U)

Monday 20th August

Starring: 95 minutes
Approx. running time (inc. adverts): Jamie Oram, Harriet Perring & Richard Cotton

FLYING THE NEST at the Festival Drayton Centre

Watch the gorgeous tale of newborn Plover bird, Ploey. Described as “no ordinary chick”, audiences will be able to see just how far a little bird will go to reunite with his true love.

We pick up with Ploey after an attack by the ferocious falcon Shadow, which sees the numbers in a flock of Plover depleted vastly during their migration back to their homeland. With all hope seeming to be lost, Ploey's birth seems to work as the catalyst to saving the group.

Meeting a female chick called Ploverina, Ploey immediately falls in love, but a twist of fate means he's left on his own and unable to fly; his flock leaving him to fly across the ocean for winter. Isolated and with his fears, the youngster will be forced to take on a dangerous and challenging journey, where he'll have to use all of his wit and cunning, along with the help of new-found friends, if he's to make it through winter and see his love again.
