GLENROTHAN at the Festival Drayton Centre

Two brothers following a violent exchange with their father on the day of their mother's funeral, the younger of the two left their Highland home for America. After forty years they reunite in the land of their birth.

 

Set in a fictional town called Glenrothan, the film follows two brothers who must reunite to save their family’s distillery. Donal, played by Aberfeldy-born Cumming, returns to the Highlands after living in America for almost 40 years. Sandy, portrayed by Cox, needs him to take over the whisky distillery or he will be forced to sell it and lose their family’s 200-year legacy. The film also stars Scottish actress Shirley Henderson, known for her roles in Harry Potter and Trainspotting.
