VAL NASH
Monday 2nd December
- Monday 6th January
Val, who was born and brought up in West Shropshire, has lived in North Shropshire for nearly 40 years, bringing up her two daughters here. She lives in Adderley with her husband Paul and is now a grandmother to 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 2 – 15 years and enjoys their company immensely.
Over the last 10 years Val’s plan to devote time to her “hidden artist” has been thwarted and thrived in equal measure but she is finally at a place where she feels she can enjoy the time to develop her passion and be brave enough to share it with others too!
“I use a variety of mediums and particularly enjoy acrylic inks and paints, as well as gouache, posca inks and charcoal, and include an element of collage in some pieces too. I am definitely an abstract girl in my painting style and whilst that is not to everyone’s taste, I am gratified that people do seem to like some of my work and have sold some pieces. A source of constant amazement to me!”
“The pieces in the exhibition today vary hugely in size and style, and I hope that people visiting this exhibition space enjoy looking at my work even if its not their “thing”.
