Born in Hungary, Daniel studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. He has given solo recitals across Europe and the United States and has performed concertos with the Royal Philharmonic, the Hallé, and the National Philharmonic of Ukraine among others. After showing a strong empathy with the music of Bartók here two years ago, he returns to play a selection of pieces by the other pre-eminent Hungarian composer, Franz Liszt, alongside Shostakovich’s sonata No 2 and Chopin’s sonata No 3.
