CASUAL CONTRACT DUTY MANAGER LIVE EVENTS
Sessional work at £14 per hour.
Festival Drayton Centre is a community-owned, mostly volunteer-led Centre in the heart of Market Drayton. We provide Live Events in our state-of-art 200-seat auditorium, as well as cinema, community activities, and a thriving coffee shop. We are looking for a casual sessional Duty Manager to cover some of our Live Events.
This post is responsible for leading shifts at our Live shows which are all held at the Festival Drayton Centre. Your role is to ensure that during your shift the Centre is a welcoming and vibrant space for audiences, customers and visitors or artists. You will work with a team of experienced volunteers to oversee the smooth running of our Front of House, Box Office and Bar. You will also be responsible for addressing the needs and safety of all our customers and you will be on hand to ensure the requirements of our visiting artists and crew are met. You will have a key role in making sure our Live Events are an excellent experience for all involved.
This role is evening and weekends, working on a pre-agreed number of shows / live events within our annual scheduled programme. Shifts range from 5 to 10 hours each and the number of events covered is flexible but might range from 2 to 4 per month.
You should have a positive attitude towards teamwork and volunteers, be cheerful and customer-focused, with excellent organisational skills. Experience in hospitality or a similar environment would be an advantage.

Originally brought into community ownership in 1984, the Centre underwent a major extension and refurbishment in 2004, resulting in it becoming the Best Regional Winner of the West Midlands Market Towns Award for regeneration in 2006.

As a charity and a not for profit organisation we regret that due to financial constraints we are unable to offer any other concessions for satellite screenings and live events.
